Peace Offerings
 
A male or female of herd or flock - Lev_3:1; Lev_3:6; Lev_3:12; 
Lev 3:1  And if his offering is a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offers from the herd, whether it is a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before Jehovah. 
Lev 3:6  And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering to Jehovah is of the flocks, male or female, he shall bring it without blemish. 
Lev 3:12  And if his offering is a goat, then he shall bring it near before Jehovah. 
 
THE OFFERER REQUIRED
 
To give it freely - Lev_19:5; 
Lev 19:5  And if you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Jehovah, you shall offer it of your own free will. 
 
To bring it himself - Lev_7:29; Lev_7:30; 
Lev 7:29  Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to Jehovah, shall bring his sacrifice to Jehovah of the sacrifice of his peace offerings. 
Lev 7:30  His own hands shall bring in the fire offerings of Jehovah. He shall bring the fat with the breast, so that the breast may be waved for a wave-offering before Jehovah. 
 
To lay his hand upon its head - Lev_3:2; Lev_3:8; Lev_3:13; 
Lev 3:2  And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar all around. 
Lev 3:8  And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood all around on the altar. 
Lev 3:13  And he shall lay his hand on its head and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation. And the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood on the altar all around. 
 
To kill it at tabernacle door - Lev_3:2; Lev_8:13; 
Lev 3:2  And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar all around. 
Lev 8:13  And Moses brought Aaron's sons and put tunics on them, and girded them with girdles, and bound turbans on them, even as Jehovah commanded Moses. 
 
Required to be perfect and free from blemish - Lev_3:1; Lev_3:6; Lev_22:21; 
Lev 3:1  And if his offering is a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offers from the herd, whether it is a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before Jehovah. 
Lev 3:6  And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering to Jehovah is of the flocks, male or female, he shall bring it without blemish. 
Lev 22:21  And when a man offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to Jehovah to carry out his vow, or a free-will offering in cattle or sheep, it shall be without blemish to be accepted. There shall be no blemish in them. 
 
THE PRIEST
 
Prepared - Eze_46:2; 
Eze 46:2  And the ruler shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate outside, and shall stand by the gatepost. And the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate. And he shall go out, but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. 
 
Sprinkled the blood on the altar - Lev_3:2; Lev_3:8; Lev_3:13; 
Lev 3:2  And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar all around. 
Lev 3:8  And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood all around on the altar.

Offered the inside fat, &c by fire - Lev_3:3; Lev_3:4; Lev_3:9; Lev_3:10; 
Lev 3:3  And he shall bring near from the sacrifice the peace offering, a fire offering to Jehovah. The fat that covers the inward parts, all the fat that is on the inward parts, 
Lev 3:4  and the two kidneys, and the fat on them, on the loins, and the lobe above the liver, with the kidneys, he shall remove. 
Lev 3:9  And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering, a fire offering to Jehovah. He shall take away its fat, all its fat next to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inward parts, and all the fat that is on the inward parts, 
Lev 3:10  and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe above the liver, beside the kidneys, he shall remove it. 
 
Laid it upon the daily burnt offering to be consumed with it - Lev_3:5; Lev_6:12; Lev_6:13; 
Lev 3:5  And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar, on the burnt sacrifice on the wood, which is on the fire. It is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Jehovah. 
Lev 6:12  And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it. It shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it. And he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. 
Lev 6:13  The fire shall always be burning on the altar. It shall never go out. 
 
Waved the breast as a wave-offering - Exo_29:26; Exo_29:28; Lev_7:29; Lev_7:30; 
Exo 29:26  And you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration and wave it for a wave offering before Jehovah. And it shall be your portion. 
Exo 29:28  And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute forever from the sons of Israel. For it is a heave offering. And it shall be a heave offering from the sons of Israel of the sacrifices of their peace offerings, even their heave offering to Jehovah. 
Lev 7:29  Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to Jehovah, shall bring his sacrifice to Jehovah of the sacrifice of his peace offerings.

Heaved the right shoulder as an heave-offering - Exo_29:22-27; 
Exo 29:22  Also you shall take from the ram the fat and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the inward parts, and the lobe on the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat on them, and the right shoulder, for it is a ram of consecration; 
 
Had the shoulder and breast as his portion - Exo_29:28; Lev_7:31-34; 
Exo 29:28  And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute forever from the sons of Israel. For it is a heave offering. And it shall be a heave offering from the sons of Israel of the sacrifices of their peace offerings, even their heave offering to Jehovah. 
Lev 7:31  And the priest shall burn the fat on the altar. But the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'. 
 
An offering most acceptable - Lev_3:5; Lev_3:16; 
Lev 3:5  And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar, on the burnt sacrifice on the wood, which is on the fire. It is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Jehovah. 
Lev 3:16  And the priest shall burn them on the altar, bread of the fire offering for a sweet savor. All the fat is Jehovah's. 
 
Generally accompanied by a burnt-offering - Jdg_21:4; 1Sa_10:8; 1Ki_3:15; 
Jdg 21:4  And it happened on the next day the people rose early and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. 
1Sa 10:8  And you shall go down before me to Gilgal. And, behold, I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and to sacrifice peace offerings. You shall stay seven days until I come to you and make known to you what you shall do. 
1Ki 3:15  And Solomon awoke, and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants. 
 
Often accompanied by a sin-offering - Lev_23:19; 
Lev 23:19  Then you shall sacrifice one he-goat for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 
 
WAS OFFERED
 
As a thanksgiving-offering - Lev_7:12; Lev_7:13; 
Lev 7:12  If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mixed with oil, of fine flour, fried. 
Lev 7:13  Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. 
 
As a votive offering - Lev_7:16; 
Lev 7:16  But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice. And on the next day also the rest of it shall be eaten. 
 
For reconciliation - Eze_45:15; Eph_2:13; Eph_2:14; 
Eze 45:15  and one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the watered pasture of Israel; for a food offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make atonement for them, says the Lord Jehovah. 
Eph 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus you who were once afar off are made near by the blood of Christ. 
Eph 2:14  For He is our peace, He making us both one, and He has broken down the middle wall of partition between us, 
 
For confirming the legal covenant - Exo_24:5; 
Exo 24:5  And he sent young men of the sons of Israel who offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of bulls to Jehovah. 
 
At consecration of priests - Exo_29:22; Exo_29:29; 
Exo 29:22  Also you shall take from the ram the fat and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the inward parts, and the lobe on the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat on them, and the right shoulder, for it is a ram of consecration; 
Exo 29:29  And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons' after him, to be anointed in them and consecrated in them. 
 
For the people at large - Lev_9:4; 
Lev 9:4  Also take a young bull and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before Jehovah, and a food offering mixed with oil. For today Jehovah will appear to you. 
 
At expiration of Nazarite's vow - Num_6:14; 
Num 6:14  And he shall offer his offering to Jehovah: one male lamb of the first year without blemish for a burnt offering, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings, 
 
At all the festivals - Num_10:10; 
Num 10:10  Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. And they shall be to you for a memorial before Jehovah. I am Jehovah your God. 
 
At dedication of tabernacle - Num_7:17; Num_7:23; 
Num 7:17  and for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five lambs of the first year. This was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab. 
Num 7:23  and for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five lambs of the first year. This was the offering of Nethaneel the son of Zuar. 
 
At dedication of temple - 1Ki_8:62-64; 
1Ki 8:62  And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before Jehovah. 63  And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to Jehovah, twenty-two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of Jehovah. 64  On that day the king sanctified the middle of the court before the house of Jehovah. For there he had offered the burnt offering, and the food offering, and the fat of the peace offerings; because the bronze altar before Jehovah was too small to contain the burnt offering, and the food offering, and the fat of the peace offerings. 
 
At coronation of kings - 1Sa_11:15; 
1Sa 12:17  Is it not wheat harvest today? I will call to Jehovah, and He shall send thunder and rain, so that you may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, that which you have done in the sight of Jehovah, in asking a king for you. 18  And Samuel called to Jehovah, And Jehovah sent thunder and rain that day. And all the people greatly feared Jehovah and Samuel. 19  And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your servants to Jehovah your God, so that we will not die. For we have added evil to all our sins, to ask a king for us. 20  And Samuel said to the people, Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness. Yet do not turn aside from following Jehovah, but serve Jehovah with all your heart. 
 
By Joshua after his victories - Jos_8:31; 
Jos 8:31  as Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the Law of Moses, an altar of whole stones over which no man has lifted any iron. And they offered on it burnt offerings to Jehovah, and sacrificed peace offerings. 
 
By Israel after their defeat - Jdg_20:26; 
Jdg 20:26  And all the sons of Israel, and all the people, went up and came into the house of God, and wept, and sat there before Jehovah and fasted that day until evening, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Jehovah.

2Sa 24:25  And David built there an altar to Jehovah, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And Jehovah was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

1Ki 9:25  And three times in a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he had built to Jehovah, and he burned incense on the altar which was before Jehovah. And he finished the house. 
 
By Manasseh on repairing and restoring the altar - 2Ch_33:15; 2Ch_33:16; 
2Ch 33:15  And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of Jehovah, and all the altars that he had built in the mountain of the house of Jehovah, and in Jerusalem, and threw them out of the city. 
2Ch 33:16  And he repaired the altar of Jehovah and sacrificed on it peace offerings and thank-offerings. And he commanded Judah to serve Jehovah, the God of Israel. 
 
If a thanksgiving offering to be eaten the day offered - Lev_7:15; 
Lev 7:15  And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered. He shall not leave any of it until the morning. 
 
If a votive offering to be eaten the same day or the next - Lev_7:16; Lev_7:17; Lev_19:6-8; 
Lev 7:16  But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice. And on the next day also the rest of it shall be eaten. 
Lev 7:17  But the rest of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire. 
Lev 19:6  It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day. And if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned in the fire. 7  And if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable. It shall not be accepted. 8  And anyone that eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Jehovah. And that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 
 
To be eaten before the Lord - Deu_12:17; Deu_12:18; 
Deu 12:17  You may not eat inside your gates the tithe of your grain or of your wine or of your oil, or the first-born of your herds or of your flock, or any of your vows which you vow, or your free-will offerings or the heave offering of your hand. 
 
No unclean person to eat of - Lev_7:20; Lev_7:21; 
Lev 7:20  But the soul that eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings that pertain to Jehovah, having his uncleanness on him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people. 
Lev 7:21  And the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, of the uncleanness of man, or any unclean animal, or an unclean abominable thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which pertain to Jehovah, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
